Quill Residence KLCC Lila House

The room smelled bad, and so did the toilet. The towels and bedsheets were dirty, and I couldn't tell whether they'd been changed. The place just didn't feel clean. Please don't come here.

No towels were provided, and we asked for an iron from the first day through checkout without ever getting one. The admin was rude, arrogant, and no help at all. I found the room filthy and full of cockroaches, and the toilet stank. None of the Lila Suite staff were useful. They weren't Malaysian, barely spoke Malay, and their English was poor, which made communication a nightmare.

The location could have been excellent, with a tram station and shopping mall right there, but roads surround the building and the noise makes it hard to enjoy. At night, rempits, riders with elaborated motorbikes, race nearby until 4am, while the open-air corridors carry noise on every floor. During the day, the mall's fans and air pipes are constantly audible, though the thick door and windows keep it tolerable inside. The flat is very basic, nearly empty beyond the furniture, some of it in questionable taste. Cleanliness was so-so, and the toilet had a persistent sewer smell. They require a cash deposit and don't accept credit cards. It's hard to believe this noise is so common in a modern city like KL, but as a tourist I found it intolerable and it ruined an otherwise nice apartment. #StopRempits

We booked three nights but left after just one because we couldn't stand staying there. Getting checked in was difficult: we arrived before the 3pm check-in time and tried to contact the residence, but it took a long time to answer a simple message. The room had no towels at all, hand or bath, despite towels being listed as an amenity. The hairdryer plug didn't fit the room's socket, and the kitchenware was too dirty for me to use. The bathroom smelled awful, the worst I've experienced. We were really disappointed and didn't want to stay.
