Silka Cheras

The location made it easy to get around, with shopping malls, restaurants, and public transport nearby. Even with the busy surroundings, the hotel itself felt quiet and peaceful. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was well kept with fresh towels and toiletries. I especially liked the cozy bed after a long day. From arrival onward, the staff were professional, friendly, and happy to help. Check-in was quick and stress-free. Silka Cheras gave me good value for the money, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, pleasant stay in Cheras. I’d happily stay again.

The location is handy, with the MRT right next door and large malls just one stop away. The room rate is decent too. But the old hotel badly needs a major renovation. There are stains on the room and corridor carpets and on the tabletop. The TV doesn’t work, the shower head isn’t secure, and the drawer won’t close all the way.

We spent 3D2N here. The room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast offered lots of choices, though the hot water took a while to warm up. The problem was parking payment. The staff said they couldn’t validate my tng card, so I had to pay RM15. Nonsense! She even told me to use a debit card next time. If that’s the case, they should disable tng parking and put up a sign saying “debit card only” 😤😤😤😤😤

A covered walkway links the hotel to the MRT station across the road, which is handy. There are security guards and front desk staff on duty, though the Zone A car park entrance gets quite dark at night. The hotel faces the main road, so a room by the window may get some traffic noise. The lobby is in a corner wing of a quiet mall building, and many of the shoplots are closed.
