The best part is the location, right by chinatown street and the market with food everywhere. We had a private room that was good enough for the area, but a tiny cockroach crawled under our bed. The towels were old and thin, and the place was dirty and gross. There were old men walking around half naked, little cockroaches, mold on the ceilings, and a bathroom floor that was always wet. The “kitchen” was out on the balcony, with stains everywhere. Perfume was heavily sprayed by the entrance, then upstairs you were met with guests' stinky shoes. The common room had a disgustingly dirty, stained couch, though the working area was nice. I don't know why Agoda reviews score this place so highly.

The biggest annoyance was having no outlet near my top bunk. The hostel walls are thin, so you hear people walking around upstairs, and the bathrooms aren't very nice. My check-in was shaky because nobody was at reception when I arrived, even though it was within the stated check-in hours. I did get a bed, though. The rooms were pretty clean, and the location is wonderful, close to markets, shops, transport, and several points of interest. At that price, you get what you pay for, and the location makes it worthwhile.

The pantry is a comfortable spot and smoking is allowed there. I'm easygoing, so I liked this place: it's in a strategic location and the people are friendly. Last time I had a good, comfy bed, though some of the other beds may have issues. There's one charging plug at our assigned bed. Women probably shouldn't stay here, since there's very little privacy in the room.

I stayed three weeks in a private bunk in the six person female dorm, and for the rates they charge, I can't complain. The mattress, pillow, bathroom, and toilet weren't particularly clean, but the sheets, pillowcases, and towel I got at check-in smelled freshly laundered. The AC was cold enough, the bed and pillow were comfortable enough, and the wooden floor was lovely to walk on. Curtains gave some privacy. All in all, a great experience. I'd do it again, 10/10.
