T Hotel Jalan Tar

The location is really good for shopping, especially for Raya, and the room itself is big. But the blanket smelled like it hadn't been washed, like someone who hadn't showered in days. Sleeping with that smell was uncomfortable, and I never felt fresh there. On top of that, the construction noise at night was awful. Drilling, hammering, and whatever else was going on started around 7 and carried on until about 11 p.m. Afternoon or early evening noise wouldn't have bothered me since I'd be out walking, and I think most people would feel the same. After a long day out, you want to sleep, but that wasn't possible. What a waste of a hotel with so much potential. Please wash the blankets and bedsheets properly, and don't keep doing loud construction late at night. I was disappointed throughout the stay. Update: My family and I asked them to change the sheet because the smell was unbearable. They said it would be done by 3 p.m. and arrived half an hour late, but that part wasn't a big deal. The problem was that they came in wearing slippers and got an attitude when my mom said the floor needed to be clean for us to pray. They put on the sheet messily. When my mom politely asked for a spray or two of the room freshener they had with them, the guy sprayed a lot while acting angry and unhappy. Rude. Everyone there was rude except the receptionist. Don't stay here. Other hotels can have a good location too. However cheap this one is, it isn't worth it unless you're nasty.

For somewhere affordable and well placed, it's okay if all you need is a bed and a shower. The hotel is on Jalan TAR, opposite Muaz shop, and only a few minutes from Sogo. The room is quite big, the air conditioning is cool, and there's free Wi-Fi. They don't charge extra for an extra pillow. Staff were a mixed bag, some friendly, some not, but generally okay. There were several problems in my room: cockroaches, a bathroom ceiling leak that dripped water, and bathroom walls that were so transparent they compromised privacy.

I wouldn't recommend staying there. The surrounding bazaars were noisy with Hindu music, and there were lots of cockroaches in the rooms.

The room was spacious, but I wasn't told it had no window. I checked in at around 3 a.m. and there wasn't even drinking water in the room. I looked in the minibar and found somebody's leftover milk packet instead. They told me to get water from the dispenser outside, but there was no kettle or jug in the room. Why leave a 3-in-1 coffee sachet there with no kettle? The worst part was having no bidet in the toilet. How am I supposed to wash? There were clothes hangers in the closet, except one was broken.
