The Concept Hotel KL - TBS

Everything else was good, but the receptionist on duty seemed busy with their mobile. Agoda showed five rooms left; when I arrived, I was offered a “super king” room, though the bed looked queen-sized to me. It was okay for a first try, but I wouldn't stay there again.

For RM73 per room including tax, The Concept Hotel KL – TBS was clean, inexpensive and handy for transit. We arrived at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) at about 9:30 pm, and it was the cheapest clean option we found within walking distance. It's a new hotel in an older five-storey building. We were on the third floor. The room and bathroom were spotless, and staff had left ear plugs. There was also a Cuoco dispenser with free filtered hot and cold water. The pillows were a little too soft for us, and traffic noise was the main drawback, though the ear plugs made it manageable. To get there from TBS, head toward the TBS LRT Station. By KK Mart, take the escalator up to the 3rd floor and cross the covered footbridge over the road. After coming down, follow the path beside the fence to the Shell petrol station. Turn toward the shop lots facing the elevated highway, where you'll see the hotel sign.

A very reasonably priced, spacious and clean budget hotel for catching a bus from TBS the next day. Al Ameen Restaurant is nearby for good value meals, and Zainal Kek shop behind the hotel is worth stopping at to pick up goodies before you leave. The nearest mall is The Mines, reached by Grab. My Grab ride to TBS station cost RM $8.

Dirty, smelly and moldy, with a filthy carpet and ants all over the walls and elsewhere. The room was small and old, nothing like the pictures. Wouldn't recommend it. Stay away.
