The views from the apartment are amazing, and the swimming pool with its sandy beach makes it feel like a little escape. Security is strong, there’s a fitness centre, and it’s easy to get to nearby shops and the university. There’s also a bus service and LRT Rapid access. Mines is about an 18-minute walk away, and the setting is lovely overall. The place is useful for student life, especially for Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation students, and you can bring male or female visitors to your room without anyone minding. There’s a lot included: furnished rooms, a kitchen, Wi-Fi, electricity, a washing machine, a fridge and an oven. Wi-Fi and electricity are billed separately from the rent, and the sockets are three-pin. There’s no proper gym, though. Rent seems reasonable: 590 rm for a twin-sharing master bedroom, 1700rm for a fully furnished two-room unit with a study, attached bathroom and kitchen, and 2500rm for a fully furnished three-room unit. It’s a good place to live, and people may enjoy the family time here.

It’s a peaceful condo and seems better maintained than VKB or VKC. The JMB looks after it well, and there are three access roads, so stadium events nearby don’t make getting home a headache. The location is handy, with Sri Petaling LRT about a five-minute walk away and Bukit Jalil National Stadium around five minutes by car. Highways KESAS, MEX, MRR2 and Lebuh Raya Bukit Jalil make it easy to reach KL South, Shah Alam/Klang, KL city and Cyberjaya/Putrajaya. VKA (Vista Komanwel A) was built for the 1998 Commonwealth Games in KL, first as athlete accommodation and later leased to the public. It has three towers, A, A1 and A2, like VKB and VKC. Each VK has its own gated entrance. The clubhouse has a pool, office, badminton and multipurpose hall, mini mart, mini gym and cafe. There’s a musolla in the compound too.

Avoid this property. The management is among the worst in Malaysia, and I’m going to complain to the police. The lifts keep failing. From 11 PM, all three were out, and by 3 am they still weren’t working. The technician said it couldn’t be done that day. For a long time they only tried to fix one lift, leaving the other two, and now none are working. My small baby and wife felt ill in the heat, and there isn’t even a fan in the lift area.

The condo is kept in good condition, with security around the clock. It has a pool, gym, badminton court and restaurant, among other facilities.
