Hotel Petaling

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the family room option is useful. It’s in the central town, a good place to enjoy local and street life, though the streets get really crowded in the evening. Worth the money.

For budget travelers, this is good value, and I’d definitely come back. The location is fairly nice. The elevator, beds, and sound isolation could all be better, though.

It’s close to the sale area, and snacks are easy enough to get, but finding food can be difficult if you’re not used to Chinese cuisine since the hotel is in the China neighborhood. The hotel is pretty good, though quite old, with several room chairs and relatively cheap prices. Recommended if you’re on a low budget.

Right on Petaling Street, so meals and shopping are easy to get to. The room and bathroom looked fresh, almost new, but there was no kettle, so I couldn’t make coffee. Finding the entrance takes some care because it’s very small and often hidden by street vendors. You have to walk through an alleyway that’s pretty gross and unkempt.
