Vortex KLCC by Luxury Suites Asia

We found the rooms clean and comfortable, and they looked just like the photos. Service was quick and friendly. Vortex KLCC is right next to KLCC, with shopping and food easy to reach. A great choice for comfort and a premium stay in Kuala Lumpur. Highly recommended.

The sheets and towels in the room were dirty, and the place smelled of sewer. The bathrooms leaked, and the streets were noisy. The building is old and doesn’t block sound well. The gym was small, old, dirty, and suffocating, yet it cost extra to use, as did the small pool next to a strange building’s mart. There also seemed to be unusual business operations going on in the building. Nothing about this felt like “luxury.” I regret booking this stay.

The night view was stunning, with 118 and Menara KL in sight. Great area.

The apartment was dirty and poorly maintained, and things simply didn’t work. There were cockroaches in the rooms and showers. Their answer was to give us a cockroach bomb, and it seemed they hadn’t checked the apartment before we arrived. The towels looked like they hadn’t been changed in a long time and had marks and stains. Hot water was out too. We tried to arrange maintenance before going into the city, but the technician wasn’t available until 10 or 11 a.m., and was gone by 5 p.m. The internet barely worked. They use a Wi-Fi amplifier on each floor instead of a proper Wi-Fi box. The pool and gym cost extra and weren’t part of the hotel price. Be careful with the damage deposit too: through booking it was 200MYR (40 euros), but they may ask for 100 dollars if you don’t know the amount. We won’t stay here again. Some booking reviews seem fake, so don’t trust them.
