I chose Future Star One Bukit Ceylon KLCC (1, Lorong Ceylon, 50200kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) through Booking.com because the price was reasonable and I wanted a kitchenette and washing machine. A bright, clean place near city services also mattered. This is the first negative review I've written in years of traveling. From the start, I worried it might actually be apartments inside the Abadi Inn @ Seri Bukit Ceylon building rather than a separate accommodation property. I arrived in the daytime, but the apartment was already much darker than the listing photos. After paying the deposit and part of the stay, I was left alone and saw how different it looked from what I'd booked. The decor was all dark, and much of the furniture and fittings looked old and worn. A section of baseboard behind the bed had come away from the wall. The balcony doors wouldn't lock, and there were no keys. The sofa sagged badly, and I suspect the beds were similar. Most frustratingly, there was no washing machine, one of the main reasons I'd chosen the place. I raised the condition and photo mismatch with the owner, who said he'd show me another apartment at 8:00 PM. When he came later, he said there were no others and my choices were to stay there or leave immediately. I was alone as a woman in an unfamiliar city, and it was already nighttime. I politely asked to stay one night so I could find somewhere else, but he refused and wouldn't even give me a few minutes to make another booking before asking me to leave. In my opinion, the Booking.com photos don't accurately show the actual condition. I can't recommend these apartments. I'm attaching real photos so future guests can judge the condition for themselves.
