A really nice option for a short trip, with local trains within walking distance. The restaurant on the hotel’s ground floor is worth a visit, good prices and delicious food. Hotel management and service were very nice too.

Look up Eco Hotel, it’s the same place. I enjoyed my stay overall, and the staff were friendly. The room had good space, a comfortable bed, air conditioning, and WiFi. Noise carried through the room, though, and the shower was inconsistent. At times there was hardly any water pressure, and at others the water was either boiling hot or just lukewarm.

We stayed two nights and had problems from the moment we entered the room. The bed had a huge foot mark, so we asked for a change. Later we found another foot mark on the pillowcase. The sheets were dirty, the fridge was broken, and the curtain didn’t cover the window or block sunlight. The fridge was full of water and didn’t cool properly when we tried to store fruit bought that day. The window on the fifth floor had a slight outside ledge and no net to keep bugs or other animals out, which seemed necessary given the location. On the first night, I saw a bug moving frantically inside a bedside lamp. I called staff because from outside it looked like a spider. By the time they arrived, it had crawled out and gone under the bed. I’d seen it was a cockroach. Staff sprayed strong insect killer across the bed and said they couldn’t move us that night, only arrange it the next day. As a temporary fix, they suggested leaving the window open at 2am. The spray smelled so strong that we left both the window and hallway door open, and couldn’t sleep until about 5am, when the smell and air started to clear. After exploring the city the following day, we expected a room change, but the staff on duty said none was available and we could only move the next day, so we slept in the same room again. We asked for three towels because my wife was washing her long hair and needed one for her hair and one for her body, with one for me. The receptionist said the limit was two towels, even though we had asked for and received three the day before. On checkout morning, a huge gecko crawled from the TV toward our clothes. The booking felt like a scam, overpriced and wrongly categorized, and staff quality was poor. When I booked, the property was listed as three-star with an 80% discount, including my Genius 3 and getaway discounts. I paid 30 euros for two nights, but still wasn’t sure whether that was half price or the full price for two people. The original price seemed close to 100 euros, or 50 a night. When booking for two guests, I couldn’t reserve just one room. I booked two, then cancelled one, which cut the cost from 60 to 30 euros. I messaged the property on Booking and WhatsApp, but both replies were unclear about whether there’d be an extra charge for two people. I called and was told there wouldn’t be, and I wasn’t charged extra when I arrived. We didn’t photograph everything, but there are several pictures below. The cockroach in the photo was definitely alive, it had fallen onto its back.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was free with food discounts as well. The rooms are a bit dated but fine, and toiletries were provided. Good value for the money.
