The location worked well for getting around, with the local bus station right outside and the monorail a short walk away. There’s also a nice street view of the petronas towers. For a couple of nights on a budget, it’s probably fine. The stay itself is just okay. It’s very cheap, but the beds are uncomfortable and the rooms are small. Staff don’t seem to know much or speak foreign languages well. If you’re in KL longer, I’d spend a bit more for a more enjoyable holiday.

The room had hot water for the shower, the toilet was clean, and customer service was friendly. But the floor or carpet was dirty, and the air conditioning barely cooled even when I set it to 16c. I’d requested a Queens Bed in the app ahead of time, but got a Double Single Bed when I arrived, and I know they did that on purpose. There wasn’t a fridge, freezer or icebox, even a small one would have helped. There was also no water heater for drinks, or 3-1 coffee or tea.

This is actually GDS Hotel. There’s a good location at the end of the Monorail line and near Titiwangsa Bus Station, and it’s cheap. But the hallways smell of urine, the rooms are small and have no windows, people smoke inside, the staff are unprofessional, and there’s no Wi-Fi.

There are good places to eat nearby, and the train station is close. The staff were friendly, helpful and available when anything urgent came up, and the Wi-Fi was good. One issue, though: without shower curtains, water fills up the bathroom when you shower.

The room photos made the place look really good, but the reality didn’t match. The rooms are tiny, and there’s a cigarette smell everywhere. Bad experience.
