The room was a decent size and had a balcony. The AC worked well, the shower pressure was strong, and there was covered parking, though spaces were limited. The location was handy too, close to Kuala Perlis jetty for a quick rest before the ferry to Langkawi, with plenty of nice local restaurants nearby. My sleep wasn't great after the long drive from KL. The bed was quite hard and both pillows were very thin. The bathroom cleanliness was questionable, though the excellent water pressure made it manageable. Getting in touch with the hotel was a frustrating experience. Agoda said check-in ended at 6pm, and when I knew I couldn't arrive by then, I tried reaching them for hours beforehand. Nobody picked up the only landline listed on Agoda and Google, and I got no reply through the Agoda app or by email. At arrival there was nobody at the counter either. It took 5 to 10 minutes after I called and rang the bell for a staff member to come over. When I asked about the phone, she said there was a problem with the landline, without apologizing. They could have put a mobile number on Agoda or Google temporarily.
