The room was very dusty, and I think the carpet needs replacing. The water heater kept switching between cold and hot when I stayed there the other day. They could also upgrade the TV to a smart TV so there'd be more channels to watch. Cleanliness is a real concern here.

The furniture and room feel like they're from the 1980s, so don't expect five-star conditions. Breakfast was fairly good, and the stay was comfortable overall, especially for such an affordable budget.

The location was okay, and I had a good sea view. I visited at low tide, so perhaps the scenery is different at other times. On a weekend evening, people came to fly giant kites near the hotel, which was exciting to see. It's an old hotel, though I heard the new management took over, so maybe it's better than before. I had a good stay. The receptionist was helpful, and the cleaner knocked politely and asked before coming in. The carpet could use a deep clean, since the dust is visible.

A handy place to rest, with a strategic location for going to Langkawi or Thailand. I'd recommend it to people travelling to either destination.

Parking and loading or unloading were easy, and we've stayed here twice. Both visits went well. The breakfast buffet was just so-so, but it saved us time looking around for food during our visit.
