Villea Rompin Resort & Golf

The people were really nice, and the food prices were reasonable. I enjoyed my stay, but there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, and under the bed there was sand everywhere.

The beach feels clean and private, and the hotel itself is quiet and peaceful. There’s a huge pool for children, plus several good lobster restaurants nearby. But the place is very remote, far from KL and even Rompin city centre, so you need your own transport. During the monsoon the beach is off limits, and it gets very dark there at night. The adults pool has been under renovation since the MCO period, leaving little to do besides golf, and many facilities are rundown, with broken lights and dry pipes. Would I return for a personal trip? I have mixed feelings. It’s simply too far away for this level of beach.

I’ve stayed here several times on golf packages. The room was okay, and I really liked the view, the pantai, and the spaces and facilities for games. The adults pool is the real disappointment. I’ve been here three times this year, and it’s been closed for who knows how long, with no sign that renovation has started. It seems like it may be closed permanently. Sayang seribu kali sayang, it would be so nice to soak after a hot round of golf.

The beachfront view is lovely, and the kids’ pool is okay, but the adults pool still hasn’t been completed after years. The location is far inland, so bring snacks before checking in. Breakfast was average. In the bathroom there was stagnant water and a bad smell, and the door was broken. The key card slot for the electricity was hard to use too. For a 4-star hotel, the condition falls short, with a lot that needs improving, especially in the room.
