Kuala Selangor Boutique Hotel

Even though our reservation was confirmed, the front desk first said the hotel was full and there was no room for us. A room only became available after we contacted Agoda. Then, while we were asleep that night, a staff member knocked and demanded cash, although we had paid online. The next morning, staff were still insisting we pay again, so we lost time dealing with the same problem instead of enjoying our planned activity in Selangor. Our stay there was short, and after all the arguing and lost time and energy, we paid twice just to move on. Agoda later refunded the original payment, fortunately, but the whole thing was extremely stressful and unprofessional. The staff's behavior was unacceptable and spoiled part of our trip. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

It’s cheap, but the hotel quality could be better. The location is near Sky Mirror jetty and Bukit Melawati.

The booking was cancelled by the staff without telling me. I had booked just one day ahead, but when I arrived to check in at 8 pm, they said there was no room. At the last minute, there wasn’t even another hotel around for me to stay in. The staff were useless and couldn’t handle the booking or cancellation properly. Worst service and worst day of my life.

We booked and paid through the app for one night so we could rest before continuing our journey. When we arrived at 2 in the morning, the front desk said there were no rooms left. He told us the room was gone because it was past 10, even after we explained that our reservation was already paid for. We asked for a refund, and he handed us a card with a phone number, but when we called it in front of him, it wasn't in service. We left without a room or a refund. The front desk couldn't speak Malay and spoke English in a way that was very hard to understand. We couldn't follow what he was saying, yet he said he couldn't understand us. What a terrible service.
