We stayed for 3D2N and really enjoyed the meals in the dining hall overlooking the river, with birds chirping nearby. The food tasted good, and the activities were well organized. Reception, the F&B team, housekeeping and the drivers who took us to activities were all friendly and helpful. A few things in our room need attention: the water tap was loose, the terrace lighting wasn’t working properly, and the mattress is due for a change. Still, it was a nice experience.

The rainforest is beautiful, the setting is scenic and very close to the national park, and the rooms are a decent size. The front desk staff were pleasant, though their English was poor and they had limited information about what was happening. As vegetarians, we found the meal choices very limited. We booked a 3D2N stay, and the coordination was awful. We had repeatedly messaged and called to say we would arrive well before the stated time, but on day one the driver forgot to pick us up. Despite asking several times, we weren’t given the driver’s number. We later learned transport was run by a separate third-party company. The pickup instructions named the hotel’s front lobby, but apparently the driver was waiting in the parking lot behind it. When we contacted the main company, they said they were “very upset with the travel company,” then told us to take a public bus to the next location or move our trip by several days. We had already explained that we were flying into Malaysia for this trip. We ended up taking Grab so we wouldn’t miss the boat, and will ask for a refund for the hassle and extra costs. On arrival at Asia camp, the bathroom door in our room was locked and wouldn’t open. Staff tried several keys without success, then offered an adjacent room whose bathroom we could reach internally. That room had a leaky bathroom tap, and water usually wouldn’t come out of the basin tap, so we used drinking water to brush our teeth and wash our faces. The tour details we received before arriving were completely wrong. We booked a birding tour, but a few hours before we got there, we were told the birding activities had either been cancelled or weren’t being offered. The night forest walk turned out to be a trip to see insects at night. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t what we’d come for. The next day we had to book another guide for birding, which was much more expensive than planned. The stay was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this company. It may not be very expensive, but I’d look at other options. If you book here, be careful about transport coordination.

I booked the agent’s 4D3N Inner Jungle package and had a good, adventurous, challenging stay. Activities were punctual and well organized, and the resort provided a driver for trips to and from the resort, which is quite far from the Taman Negara Jetty. The meals were good and complete throughout the stay. My most memorable part was the 2D1N jungle trip. The chalet was well managed when I arrived. I just hope they can service the chalets every day, since lizard droppings can make the bed and floor dirty overnight.

The food was delicious, the staff were great and we loved the activities. Too bad all the animals were hiding. The rooms could use some touch-ups, but otherwise it was all great! The

The tours run by Asia Camp Resort were the best part and worth the price. They were flexible and proactive, and our experienced guide shared lots of facts, although the language barrier meant he couldn’t answer every question. Getting a transfer from the resort into town was easy. The resort itself was fine, though our room wasn’t the cleanest and had some rough patches, including water damage on the ceiling. There were lots of animals around the room, and we could hear them inside as well. Breakfast and dinner were fine. Since we were there in low season, we got a meal instead of a buffet. All in all, the resort felt a bit expensive for its quality.
