Bara Impiana Suitestay

The location is handy, close to the airport and about a 10-20 minute drive from KT city. I had a really enjoyable 3D2N stay. Check-in was easy, and my room was clean and neat, with Wi-Fi and a TV. The Wi-Fi unit is at the front of the hotel, though, so some rooms are too far away to get a good signal. There's a pool for kids, plus an outdoor kitchen area and a water dispenser.

I've stayed here four times now, most recently three years later in 2023, and would come back again. The hosts and staff are wonderful, and there's now a swimming pool for kids. It's set up like a shared homestay: each family gets its own unit with a separate entrance and key in the same bungalow, while the pergolas and garden areas are shared. It's easy to drive out to find food, and the place is near the airport and the sea. Book early in peak season.

The kitchenette was useful for our four-night stay with family, with crockery, cutlery, a rice cooker, mini fridge, toaster oven, microwave and mini kettle. We picked up meals from nearby restaurants and stalls. Our ground-floor apartment had two bedrooms and bathrooms, a kitchenette, living room and verandah. The property is very clean and lovingly maintained, with thoughtfully chosen furnishings that make it feel homely, not tacky. I especially liked the peace and quiet. In the stillness of late afternoon, you can even hear the wind coming from the South China Sea. We were here on 26 March 2022 for our daughter's convocation week at UNISZA. Bara Impiana is in the quiet neighbourhood of Kampung Tok Jembal, a short drive from UNISZA, UMT, Tok Jembal masjid, the airport, Pantai Tok Jembal and Teluk Ketapang. Kuala Terengganu city centre is about 25 minutes away. I'd definitely recommend staying here, and we'd choose it again if we return to Kuala Terengganu.

The Wi-Fi worked very well, the front yard was kept up nicely, and parking was no problem. We got settled into the Nayli unit without much fuss once we reached the right place. The staff were polite and helpful, used Google location to guide us, and called to confirm the booking, since Agoda's map sent us to the wrong spot. It's a clean, cozy, quiet place with several rental apartments, each with its own name, about 15-20 minutes by car from downtown. The master bedroom toilet seat was loose, and the sink leaked onto the floor. Both seem like simple fixes.
