Hotel Kenangan

The room was very clean, the Wi-Fi was good, and the location was excellent. Staff were nice, there's an elevator, and filtered hot and cold water is available at reception. They also let me store my bicycle inside, so it's bicycle-friendly. I took off a star because the walls need paint, and there was graffiti in my room, though it was very clean otherwise. Walk-in price was 80rim for a single-bed air-conditioned room with a private bathroom, but no window or ventilation.

We booked a room for four people for one night and were happy with the service. The receptionist was nice, and the room was good for the price. The main issue was the air conditioner: even after setting it to 16 degrees, it didn't feel cold, so maybe it needs fixing. Free Wi-Fi was a nice extra. Banks, shopping centers, restaurants, and food stalls are all easy to reach on foot, less than a 10-minute walk. We'll definitely come back.

The staff were friendly, and the hotel is very close to a convenience store and bus station. No deposit was needed. Inside, though, the hallway felt silent and eerie, the floor was damp when I came in, probably from mopping, and the balcony and window were dirty. The furniture was old and creaky. Only two of the five outlets worked, and they were far from the table for charging a phone. The toilet slippers were very worn out.

I don't get why people give it 5 stars. The room wasn't clean, management seemed lacking, and you have to bring your own shampoo, soap, and other toiletries. The front desk attitude needs improvement too. There's also a sound you can hear in the middle of the night. Don't be fooled by the pictures; see for yourself.
