The room is medium to low maintenance, which makes sense for the nightly price. But the location puts you close to the local hotspots, so it’s handy for getting around. Breakfast is a good reason to book here: there’s a nice choice of dishes, and the hot soup with noodles or porridge was glorious. Kudos to the chef. I’d recommend staying with breakfast included; it gave me a good impression of the hotel overall.

We booked four rooms as a family, and each one had similar problems. That makes this feel like a wider issue with hygiene, maintenance, and management, especially since earlier guest reviews seem to have mentioned the same things without any meaningful improvement. I hope management takes responsibility and acts on it, because the stay left my family and me very uncomfortable and distressed. One room’s AC wasn’t working properly, possibly because of the remote, and it seemed the room hadn’t been checked before we were given it. The door also wouldn’t lock, which put our safety and belongings at risk. The walls were grimy and visibly stained, as if they hadn’t been cleaned or maintained in a long time. The towels were yellowed, and the sheets were too. Within less than five minutes of using the bed, my feet felt sensitive and itchy, which made me seriously question the bedding’s cleanliness and feel unsafe.

A standard Seri Malaysia stay. The staff and cleanliness were okay, and the river view was a nice bonus. Parking was a bit difficult because there aren’t many spaces. I stayed for my kid’s school trip, and for this location it’s a decent, ordinary choice.

I stayed here two years ago and had a fine experience, which is why I booked two rooms for two nights at Hotel Seri Malaysia KT. This time was terrible, and I won’t be coming back. The bathrooms were extremely dirty, as though they hadn’t been cleaned properly, and one toilet still had feces in the bowl. There was an unpleasant smell in the room, and hair on the bed. Housekeeping was very poor. Breakfast was average, but the Coco Crunch cereal had a smell like cockroaches, which put me off. Worse, the power went out at about 6:30am on the first morning. I called reception several times, but nobody answered. The lack of response was frustrating. There are too many serious problems to list. The hotel needs to improve cleanliness, hygiene, and customer service, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
