Riverine Garden Hotel

Room 307 has three single beds and is very spacious. A family of five could fit, though that means paying for two extra beds and a mattress. The shower has a strong flow, better than the water in Kelantan. Nearby are tong juan stuffed crab, kedai kopi kemaman, and hai peng kopitiam ( the 2nd ); I prefer walking about 1 kilo to the original hai peng kopitiam for breakfast. There’s a mosque just around the corner for Muslims. There’s no dedicated hotel parking, and construction is happening right across the road, so be prepared.

I stayed for two nights on my own and found plenty of places to eat within walking distance, along with a mosque and bus station. The room was generally clean, although there were ants on the table. I wasn’t too bothered since I spent most of my days out. Water pressure was good, a few toiletries were provided, and the friendly staff were happy to handle my requests. They also let customers know about roadworks near the hotel. Thanks to the staff for that. Parking is very limited and first come, first served. There’s a lift, but it’s on the first floor, so you have to climb some stairs before you can reach it. Keep that in mind if you have large luggage, haha. For the affordable price, I’d call it a good three-star hotel and might stay again if I visit the area.

The river view was lovely, and the hotel is in a convenient spot in bandar kemaman with lots of cafes nearby. The refrigerator worked well. It was a bit noisy because you can hear the traffic passing by. They didn’t provide mineral water or a toothbrush.

The place looked old and dirty, and the roof was very noisy at night. I was in a front-facing room on level 2.
