The biggest drawback was the bathroom partition. Its frosted, plastic-like door and wall still let you see someone using the toilet or shower, even with the light off. It's not very suitable if you're staying with teenagers or friends. We had a superior king room. It was beautiful but a little small, and had no window, though we hardly noticed because the glass bricks brought in light. The mattress and bedding were excellent. The toilet and shower were separate, with good water pressure, and the room had toiletries, a kettle, and an iron, but no refrigerator. I think there was only one elevator in the building. There was plenty of parking around the hotel, and free parking was provided. The hotel is beautiful and a great place to stay if you're visiting Pasar Kedai Payang. We loved it and would definitely come back.

We had a pleasant stay at The Payang Hotel. Its location worked very well for us, close to both Pasar Payang and Uptown Pulau Warisan, where we were headed. The toilet tiles need a better clean, as there were yellow stains, and security could help make sure hotel guests get the parking spaces meant for them.

The location is great, right next to Pasar Payang, literally, and there are nice restaurants nearby. Hotel guest parking is available, so you don't need to worry about a ticket. I stayed for three nights and slept well after the kind receptionist helped me switch rooms. I had booked a twin deluxe with two single beds, which were too small for me, and she moved me to a queen room. I'll stay here again when I come to Kuala Terengganu.

The location couldn't be better, and the hotel smelled fresh and clean throughout. We had a superior room without windows, but the glass walls let in natural light so it didn't feel claustrophobic. The pillows were soft, and the handwash, shower gel, and shampoo had a lovely premium scent. There was no wardrobe or fridge, and the shower temperature could be inconsistent.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the stay felt really relaxing. Our room was clean and well kept, with a spotless toilet and a beautiful view. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were fluffy, and the duvet smelled fresh. The shower gel and shampoo smelled great too, and the amenities were complete. Such an aesthetic hotel.
