Valya Hotel - Kuala Terengganu

There isn't any parking, though the area is busy and the shop lots were all open, so I wasn't worried about delinquents. The four-person room came with two queen beds. The sheets were clean, the pillows were good, and the towels were fresh and white. Even the room smelled nice, with no pungent or moldy odor. The hallway barely had any smell at all. It met a hotel guest's needs well, whether stopping over or visiting for work.

It's about a 15-minute drive from downtown and the sights, so keep the distance in mind when booking. Still, I'd come back. Everything felt new, modern, clean, and in good working order, up to western standards. The shower had proper pressure and hot and cold water. There was also a fridge, an iron and ironing board, small decorations, and a TV with lots of channels. The room had a desk and plenty of space for luggage.

The only real plus was the location, with shops all around and easy access to things. I booked because the reviews showed 8.9, so I expected better, but the stay turned out badly. At least I checked in late. The room and linen were very dusty, the room smelled, and the linen had stains. The towel provided was torn and looked unclean. The soap in the toilet looked like it had never been changed. I know it's a budget hotel, but hotel arena in KT can give better service at the same rate. The cleanliness here was really poor.

The price was cheap, and I stayed for 10 nights. The room was in good condition and matched the advertisement, while the staff were friendly and very helpful. I'd stay again and recommend the hotel. Daytime parking can be limited because it's in a commercial area.
