Damai Lagoon Resort

We spent most of our time outdoors, with perfect beach weather during our Christmas stay. The grounds are big and the pool is huge, with one side for adults and another for kids. Everyone we met was friendly, welcoming and accommodating. There were lots of movie choices on the room TV, but we barely watched any. Our room, 3037, had an air conditioner problem and we were sweating through the night, so we didn't sleep well. Even so, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

We spent Christmas here and had a really relaxing time, with lovely scenery and good vibes. The balcony room opened straight onto the kids' swimming pool, which my children loved. Breakfast was a delicious buffet with lots of different foods, and it suited both children and older people.

Getting to the beach was easy, just a short walk from our room to soft sand and clear water. Our room was spotless, with comfortable beds and fresh linens, and the breakfast was to die for. The property is in excellent shape, with well-kept grounds and modern amenities, all with a laid-back tropical feel. The staff were friendly and attentive from check-in through checkout, making us feel welcome. I'd definitely recommend it for a refreshing escape.

The people and the location stood out most for me. This was my second visit to Kuching in 15 years, and I'm already hoping to return. We walked in to look at the rooms and got a warm welcome right from the lobby. The staff were genuinely friendly, helpful and professional, and the whole stay felt pleasant and comfortable. The room, pool and food were all just perfect. I rarely write reviews, but this one deserves it. Highly recommended!
