Lot 10 Boutique Hotel

The location is superb, right opposite St Peter's Church, and the hotel is always a great choice when I come to Kuching. The rooms are clean, the frontdesk staff are friendly, and the diffuser gives the lobby an amazing smell. Breakfast is usually included, and I have no complaints for the price we paid. You get what you pay for.

I came with 4 friends and booked 3 rooms. Of this hotel, Margherita, and Serapi, this was the best one I stayed in. At Serapi, some rooms were too far from the Wi-Fi, the doors got stuck easily, and breakfast wasn’t ideal when we still had to pay rm20 after booking the room. At Margherita, the room was far too cold. It had centralized AC, and cold air kept coming in from the corridor even after I turned the AC off. The windows couldn’t be opened, so I froze all night under a blanket and had to wear long sleeves and trousers. The breakfast there was superb, though. At the boutique hotel, the room was in good condition and the temperature was just right. I could open the windows, or turn on the AC if it got too hot. Breakfast was included in the booking. It wasn’t extravagant, but it was okay. There was no pre deposit of RM 100, unlike at the other two places, and check-in and checkout were fast ✅

I like the atmosphere in the rooms and dining area, and the staff were nice. The breakfast, though, was disappointing. The roti canai was hard as a stone, and the fried rice and nuggets were so dry they were hard to swallow. Everything was cold except my favourite, the laksa. The food quality really needs to improve.

The breakfast was a highlight, with a great range of fresh, delicious food every morning. It was a lovely way to start a day exploring Kuching. Lot 10 Boutique Hotel in Kuching was a fantastic stay and superb value for money. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting good quality without spending too much.
