Place2Stay @ Kenyalang

I booked through the AirAsia app, but when I got there the woman at the counter told me the booking was cancelled. The status still says completed and I haven’t received my money back. I feel like the counter staff misled me. She said it would change to cancelled after 30 minutes, and spoke in a very arrogant way.

I only stayed for one day, and the toilet needs work. We had to cover half the toilet wall with paper. The door needs upgrading too. I hope hotel management improves it.

The staff were friendly and helpful. About ten minutes after we entered, housekeeping brought us fresh, warm towels. The aircon worked, and the small toilet was surprisingly okay. Still, the room didn’t match the pictures: the sheets were old, the walls dirty, and there was no room to open a suitcase. The window looked out onto a strange alley between walls. If you’re backpacking with little luggage and just need somewhere to rest, it could be alright. It’s not family friendly or suitable for elderly people, since there’s no lift.

I stayed here for the first time, three days and two nights. The Google Maps reviews made me nearly cancel, but I was surprised to find the opposite of what I expected. For a reasonable price, it was worth what I paid, though you can’t expect a high end place. I was there with my wife and two kids, and I’d consider staying again in the future.
