We found it comfortable for a one-night stay, and the reception staff were warm and welcoming. The property is quite old, and the hallways were very quiet. Some soft background music, maybe piano, would make the atmosphere better.

Our renovated room was a good size, with working air conditioning, steady water pressure, and decent sound insulation. Service was good, and the area is quiet with plenty of BBQ spots and food courts nearby. The downside was finding a few bedbugs in the bed.
The staff were kind and friendly, and the bed was really comfy. This place has a strong old-school feel, mixing Malaysian heritage with British history. The room and bathroom are rustic, but still accommodating. The restaurant is serving à la carte at the moment, with Asian or Western breakfast options, plus fruit, bread, and half-boiled eggs.
We were here for four days and three nights. The stay was pleasant, with a great location and good food. It’s a bit old school. We were greeted with a warm smile, and when we had an issue with the room, it was dealt with straight away.
We only came to Lamin for authentic local food, not to stay at the hotel. My wife thought it was very tasty, and I enjoyed the kolo mee. The staff were really friendly and helpful while we ordered.
