I checked in late, and the uncle on duty was really kind and helpful. The room was spacious and okay, but dirty. Maybe it’s acceptable to others, but the floor hadn’t been cleaned properly and the toilet was a bit dirty, though tolerable. There’s no lift, which makes things tiring, and the uncle seemed to be working around the clock. He shouldn’t have to handle everything alone, from check-in and check-out to the rest of the work. Management, please consider hiring more staff so he can get some rest.
I paid RM 55 per night through Air Asia Go, and breakfast was included. The hotel is also a cafe, and the breakfast was really delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There’s an iron outside the room, but no water heater. For such a cheap stay, it was very good, and I’d recommend it.
There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and it’s about a 20-minute walk to the city centre. We arrived after 1:00am and a friendly uncle helped us. He even lent us a kettle and mug, though they weren’t included in the room, so we could make a hot drink or noodles. Our room was clean and decent, but had no window. The TV had only a few local channels. The shower heater worked, though its temperature was preset and couldn’t be adjusted. In room 518, both the drain and sink were clogged. It would also help to hire more staff, since the uncle seemed to work day and night. I’d recommend the place if you’re on a budget.
The owner and staff were so good with me and my parent, and it felt like being at home. Having a cafe downstairs made my father especially happy, since he isn’t someone who likes just sitting in the room. I’d definitely recommend it.
The room was tidy and clean, and breakfast was good even with limited choices. The owner could add a stand for clothes hangers in the room. Also, watch out for the steep stairs leading to the top floor. The Chinese boss and most of the workers were friendly. One short male worker was a letdown, though. When we spoke politely to him at breakfast and during checkout, he came across as demanding, arrogant and rude in his tone. I think he should learn to speak and behave more politely.
