I paid for a booking through Agoda, but when I reached the lobby, security said I had to contact the owner or management for my room number. I messaged the number on the booking receipt at 3 PM and was told to wait. I was left in the lobby until 4 PM, almost an hour. I called and messaged repeatedly, and got only, “Please wait, I’m checking.” After I contacted Jazz Suites Vivacity several times, they said the booking had been cancelled without explaining why, and that Agoda would cancel it and process a refund. Because of the problems caused by Jazz Suites, I had to find somewhere else to stay. Several days later, there was still no refund. When I tried to request it through Agoda, the app couldn’t return my money. The service from Jazz Suites was extremely disappointing: very slow, with no proper action taken. I do not agree to them holding my money. To this day, I’ve paid for nothing and never even stayed there. Was my money just a donation?

It’s a convenient place to stay, with parking and a swimming pool. Vivacity Mall is right downstairs, so shopping and food are easy to get to.

Families can get everyday essentials and enjoy a variety of entertainment at this shopping mall. It’s also a convenient place to live, with affordable condos above the mall. Some units are rented out as Abnb and have high occupancy, making the location handy for visitors too.

The best thing about my stay at Jazz Suite 4 was its location right above Vivacity Megamall. It was easy to grab food at the food court, shop for groceries late at night, or go to a movie. The apartment felt like a home, with modern furnishings, a functional kitchen, a large refrigerator, and a washing machine that’s useful for a longer stay. From the higher floor, I also had a nice urban view of Kuching, especially at night. The 24-hour security and card access made me feel safe throughout. Finding the correct residential lobby and assigned parking bay was confusing the first time, though. Clearer directions from the host would help.

The place itself is good, but the management gave us a terrible experience. No one had explained the different parking slot colors, so we parked in the wrong unit and got clamped. Security insisted we pay a penalty, even though he knew it wasn’t our fault. Another car was parked in the space that was supposed to be ours, and security said they’d clamp that one later too. We got no useful help from management. I’ve heard there have been many similar cases, but they still haven’t taken action to improve things. I think this may be one way for management to make extra money.
