On our annual trip back to Labuan, we tried Lazenda this time. Its central spot makes getting around the island easy, with plenty of food and drink choices within walking distance. Convenience stores are nearby, and the supermarket is within 1 km, so it’s easy to pick up what you need. It’s a comfortable and convenient option for staying in Labuan.

Lazenda is a dependable three-star stay, with huge rooms that were pretty much spotless. The food was great, especially the nasi lemak. The real downside is how ridiculously loud the local bars get late at night.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast was pretty good, especially the local dishes. Lazenda Hotel is convenient, right in town and close to restaurants, shops, and the ferry terminal. It’s good value for a short stay or business trip. Nights can be noisy in this busy area, the Wi-Fi isn’t always steady, and some rooms feel a little old and could use touch-ups.

The room was unbearably hot because the air conditioning had a problem. Housekeeping also went into the room without asking me, and the staff's attitude and manners were very poor. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The staff really went out of their way when I had to leave at 6 AM for an early flight, before breakfast started at 6:30. They packed me fried kuetiau, beef and chicken curry, fruit, coffee, and utensils to take along. I appreciated that a lot. I was only there one night for business. The room could have been cleaner, the WiFi and data were slow, the toilet made a strange noise after flushing, and the water was warm rather than properly hot.
