Grace Hotel Lahad Datu

A comfortable, very nice stay, with a huge room and an authentic design.

The rooms are really spacious and come with a sofa set, which was the only thing I liked. The hotel is old and hasn't been refurbished. My bathroom sink leaked, and the bad smell attracted insects. It's not in a convenient spot either. There are banks on the same street, but you'll have to walk a bit to find food or a mart. Cars pass along the street late at night, so it gets quite noisy.

The rates are low, we paid 25 euros for one night, but I still think the hotel could be cleaner and fresher. Lahad Datu is a small town with limited hotel choices. The location is very convenient, right in the center and only a few minutes from the airport. The rooms were poor, the hotel smelled very old, and there was a lot of mold in the bathroom. The thin room window let in all the outside noise.

This was the worst place I've stayed. There was no toothbrush, hairdryer, or phone service. The floor felt sticky, and flies were buzzing around the bathroom. There was even a dead cockroach behind the bathroom door. I have sensitive skin, and the bed I slept in made me itchy.
