Ameer really made the stay lit. He’s a master communicator, ping pong champion, and super fun, and even gives great stock investment advice. The whole A-Team was excellent. The environment was clean and non-smoking, and I’ll definitely return. The beds felt super luxury premium, the aircon was powerful and well maintained, and everything was spotlessly clean, even the fridge. I also loved the Japanese sakura-scented shampoo and body wash. Free toothpaste kit, shave kit, slippers, and towels were provided.

I broke my leg while staying at Arch Dorms and ended up spending 5 days in the hostel, where the volunteers and guests looked after me. I can’t thank the manager and volunteers enough, and the other guests were so kind and friendly too. This place obviously attracts great people. The large common area was comfortable and really social, which made all the difference.

At checkout, the Middle East Volunteer guy from reception deliberately escalated things. He used foul language and demanded money. When I put on my shoes in the hall, he came at me with a stick and assaulted me. I defended myself, and it turned into a fight that left me bleeding. Of course, I landed some punches too. He had been extremely rude since check-in and never told us there’d be an extra charge for checking out 2 hours late. The manager wasn’t willing to deescalate and blamed me, saying I provoked him. Take this into account before checking in.

Good location and ambience, with no deposit and an easy checkout. But they demanded payment even though I had a prepaid booking, and I still haven’t received a refund after 10 days. The staff aren’t helpful. The volunteer managing the place is too persuasive about getting you to take his tour.
