Bed Attitude Hostel Cenang

From 2022 to now, staying here has made me feel at home. I’ve enjoyed being part of the local and international solo digital nomad crowd, and the hostels have a lot of charm and European vibes. When I arrived, Magda welcomed me, and Miki and Feyzi looked after me. They’re attentive, detail-oriented and friendly. I’d definitely visit again soon, and I’d recommend this great hostel to friends and family for their next vacation.

I met loads of great people, and the location is perfect. The rooms and bathrooms are modern, clean, comfortable and amazing, among the best hostels I’ve stayed in. There’s a great social area as well as a quiet room, which would be perfect for digital nomads. And an extra star for the grumpy cat. It was a pleasure letting him in and out whenever he commanded!

Still my favorite place to stay when I stop in Langkawi. You can join in socially or just relax by yourself. The hostel gets cleaned several times a day, the rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable with good space and privacy. Nice additions with the shoe section and coworking space, though the Wi-Fi can be unreliable at times. At this price, it’s worth considering that there’s no free coffee and towels cost 5rm to rent. They could also do more somehow to keep the area after the second door quiet. I’ll come back.

The price is the main reason we didn’t give this five stars. If it were a little cheaper, we would have. The hostel has great facilities and mostly meets the standard you’d expect at this price. We stayed five nights and enjoyed it overall. The location is convenient, and the café behind the hostel is worth a visit for pastries, coffee and rice bowls. There’s plenty going on if you want to socialise, and the coworking space is a nice addition. We didn’t join in much ourselves. We stayed in a 12-bed dorm. The beds were spacious, with curtains for plenty of privacy, and the air conditioning ran all day and was excellent compared with other hostels I’ve stayed in. My bedside socket charged slowly, and I would have liked a proper duvet and another pillow since the blanket felt minimal. We had ants in our bunks. It wasn’t bad enough to complain about, but it wasn’t ideal. Storage for big backpacks in the 12-bed room is limited. My friend’s locker worked well, and the Wi-Fi was reliable. The bathrooms were a highlight, with excellent showers, dependable hot water, plenty of toilets and large mirrors. I never had to wait, though my friend did once when showering later in the evening. The rooms get very hot, so some ventilation or air conditioning would be welcome. We also liked having somewhere to dry towels and wet clothes. Cleanliness was very good. We saw the cleaners doing thorough bed changeovers, and they clearly care about hygiene. The water fountain in the main lobby was excellent and cold, but one closer to the dorms would save a trip to reception. Key card access for the dorms and shoe room could improve security, and shoe deodorant or aerosol in the shoe room would be useful. Another issue was guests ignoring dorm rules. Twice, including once at 3:30am, people turned on the main light and talked loudly while drunk, making it hard to sleep.
