Rembulan Langkawi

My belongings were taken out of my capsule without my knowledge and brought home by a staff member. I had to arrange to get them returned, and some never came back. When I calmly raised it, the housekeeper shouted at me aggressively in front of other guests. The next morning she confronted me again, physically touched another guest, and told me to leave before checkout. She threatened to call the police. I’d done nothing wrong, just asked for my things back, shared my experience with another guest, and filmed what happened. Self check-in didn’t happen. My room reeked of cigarette smoke and had no ventilation, while staff sat outside at reception smoking all day. Management didn’t respond or support me. When I told them about the threats and intimidation, they suggested I leave before the housekeeper called the police. I cut my stay short and went to the airport hours early because I no longer felt safe. This wasn’t the welcoming place they advertised.

I liked the hostel so much that my planned three-day visit turned into six. Everyone made me feel welcome straight away and was warm and helpful, always checking how I was doing and whether everything was okay. The location is ideal, with most places reachable on foot, and everything was very clean 🥰🥰🥰

The room wasn’t the best, but it was sufficient. The place itself is calm, and the staff were really nice and helpful. There’s a restaurant right next door with a good menu, including a very nice breakfast and juice. The beach is only a 5-10 minute walk away, and there’s a laundry right across from the hostel. I recommend staying here!

Lovely staff and really cute cats! The hostel is in a quiet spot, but the beach is still within walking distance. Great place.
