Bella Vista Express Hotel Langkawi

The staff were lovely, friendly and very accommodating, but the rooms and other facilities needed some attention. The rooms had no soundproofing, so we could hear hallway conversations and traffic outside at night. Earplugs are a must. It didn’t feel worth the price. The hotel is near the airport if that matters to you, but otherwise far from most places. Getting to the beach across the road was harder than it should have been. Tours in the Pantai Cenang or Pantai Tengah area wouldn’t pick us up or drop us off.

Hopeless. Lizards and cockroaches were crawling on the floor when we got back after a long day. There’s no lift, and the place badly needs renovation, which I guess explains the low prices. We booked only because it was near the airport and we had a late-night arrival. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have kids.

I tried to cancel my four-night booking after seeing the hotel, but the property refused a refund. The booking platform’s support said it couldn’t issue one without the hotel’s approval, which it didn’t get, so I lost a significant amount of money. The photos online didn’t match what I found. The room was dirty, there was garbage in shared areas, and the whole property looked worn and poorly maintained. It felt like a very low-budget place that hadn’t been cared for. Cleanliness, maintenance, booking, and the help afterward were all major disappointments. Be aware that getting your money back if you’re unhappy may be very difficult.

The location is handy for getting around Langkawi, right near the airport and centrally placed on the island. Staff greeted us warmly, and Ms Syazlina was especially welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. Thanks!
