Fuuka Villa

We spent six nights in a two-bedroom villa, and the quiet location worked well: it’s set back from the main road, with restaurants and duty-free shops just a few minutes away. The short road to the main road has only one streetlight and gets quite dark, though it felt safe to us. There was hardly anyone around at night, just the occasional tourist, bike, or car. The beach is about a ten-minute walk, and there’s a netted swimming area for jellyfish outside Frangipani resort, which also has a nice restaurant. The villa had comfortable beds, good-quality linen, a great shower, and a separate toilet. There’s a filtered water tap with hot and cold water, plus a back patio with a washing line. The pool was larger than I expected from the photos and nicely warm. We requested service once, thinking we’d get fresh towels and a quick clean, but they changed the sheets too. That wasn’t necessary, but was a nice touch. Eddy and Faz were so welcoming and easy to deal with. They helped us arrange a car and parasailing at prices lower than we found elsewhere. After we’d left, Eddy even sent me restaurant recommendations for Georgetown. My sister and I couldn’t fault the place or the service, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The room had everything we needed and was spotless, like the rest of the property, which gets a thorough clean every day. We also loved swimming in the pool. Most of all, Fatin and Edy made our holiday special with their open, helpful nature and all the warm, happy moments they gave us. Fuuka Villa has a real soul. We’d give it more than 10, and if we come to Langkawi again, we’ll stay with you. Thank you for such a lovely visit!

The room service was inadequate, and the hotel felt dark and unwelcoming throughout. Outside, the area was very dark at night and felt unsafe to walk in, with numerous wild dogs nearby. The worst part began at reception: an older gentleman there was rude, disrespectful, and completely unhelpful, setting a bad tone from the start. I was thoroughly disappointed. This was my first stay and will absolutely be my last. I can’t recommend this hotel.

Friendly, helpful staff and a quiet resort. The pool is right outside the room. Highly recommend.
