It's a basic hotel, and the room was small but clean with very good air conditioning. Quite a few rooms don't have windows. We asked for one and got a room at the front, above the entrance.

We planned to stay two nights but the place was so bad that we left after one. I've stayed in budget motels before, but this wasn't acceptable. The sheets felt itchy, and the building was old and poorly kept. I could put up with the other downsides if it were clean and maintained, but it wasn't. There was even a room with a hole in the ceiling, and the place smelled moldy and old.

The price is cheap, and so is the hotel. The advertising made it look great, but the reality was different. Our room was cramped, with no space for prayer. The thin, small blanket had to cover two people, and the cheap door was damaged and patched with nails. Breakfast was toast. I'm not complaining, but there are a lot of things to improve. Maybe it was just our room.

In Kuah Town, with the beach a few minutes' walk away and local and foreign food options nearby. The rooms are simple and clean for the rate, with a TV, mini fridge and water boiler. They also have dorm beds for budget backpackers. Bike and car rentals are available at standard rates, useful for reaching some key sights about a 10-minute drive away.

The bed in the room was okay, but there wasn't enough space to pray. There was no private guest parking, and the hotel staff didn't tell me parking required a coupon. My rental car got a summons from the local authority the next day.
