The staff were actually friendly, but the rooms smelled awful, as if they hadn’t had fresh air in months. When I opened the curtains, a lizard fell on me. I know animals are around on an island, but that’s no excuse for the hotel. I’ve stayed at Seaview and Wehotel, and both were very clean. I didn’t stay more than 20 minutes. After seeing other dirty rooms, I decided not to stay, but the hotel refused to refund me. It felt like a scam. This was my second visit to Malaysia, and if I come back, I’ll never stay here or recommend it.

While we were out, staff came into our room, went through our bags, and stole our money. Management was extremely unhelpful when we reported it, and even blamed us for leaving money hidden in the room. We didn’t feel safe staying, so we left, but they refused to refund the night we wouldn’t be there. We went to the police, who told us this happens commonly there and to warn our friends not to stay. It ruined the end of our holiday. I’ve never been treated this way by a hotel. Avoid staying there if you can.

Don’t trust the photos. It’s an average place, and the room prices are too high for the facilities. The bathroom water connection wasn’t proper, the surrounding areas flood, and there were mosquitoes everywhere. There’s no restaurant, just breakfast, and cleanliness overall wasn’t good. Families should probably avoid it.

We booked it as "Oyo Rooms," but the cleaning was practically nonexistent. The woman only straightened the sheets and left a few bottles of water. The sheets had stains and a cigarette hole, and the toilets were dirty. We complained several times, but nothing changed. Avoid this place.
