Huda Inn

I stayed at Huda inn for a week while my kid was at cycling sessions. After a child was injured, I got out my first aid kit, a collection of medical supplies I use when the kids get hurt, and accidentally left it behind. Ash first replied kindly and said he had found it, but later stopped responding. I asked the place to ship it, offering to cover the cost, or to pass it to one of our colleagues who was there for Ironman. I explained that the kit was important because the kids have cycling sessions every week. After two months of being ignored, I’m going to buy another one, and I’m writing this review in return. It’s a cheap place, so I’m not complaining about the price, but I wouldn’t recommend it to families with small kids. There were cockroaches, bed bugs, and leaky plumbing.

There’s a night market nearby with plenty of local food, drinks, and fruit, and the beach is within a reasonable walk. There’s also a nearby Surau, a place to pray for Muslims. I enjoyed my stay in this clean, nice place. On some nights we could hear frogs, which is hard to avoid in a wet place.

My girlfriend and I loved staying somewhere clean, and this budget hostel was tidy too. The owner provided superb service. It’s cheap and only about a 5 to 10-minute walk to the beach, depending on your pace. I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Langkawi.

The room was a good size, and all the staff were lovely. Wi-Fi worked well even in the rooms furthest from reception. The mattress had sagged in the middle and really needed replacing, though it was still comfortable enough for a few days. For the price of a double room, I couldn’t complain.
