Limasan Villa Langkawi

Limasan Villa 1 was beautiful, with breathtaking views and well maintained facilities, but for a property costing thousands of ringgit per night, the service was disappointing and far below what I expected. I booked two nights after reading lots of glowing comments about the hospitality. On check-in day, I called ahead to ask about arriving early. Staff said the rooms should be ready by 2.30 pm. We have a toddler and a five year old, and both urgently needed the restroom, so we arrived ten minutes early. We were looking for reception when a staff member, who I assumed was the gardener, showed us to the villa. We followed, thinking it was ready. Five minutes later the manager came in and, in a voice that sounded angry to me, asked why we were inside when we were ten minutes early and the room wasn’t ready. He added snarkily that since we’d decided ourselves to enter, he would start check-in then. I explained that the kids desperately needed the toilet and his staff member had brought us there. I apologized, and he calmed down, said, “its okay, madam,” and shook his head to signal approval. The gate key also failed the first time we tried to leave, so a staff member had to open the automatic main gate with their key. When we returned at night, it failed again. We tried the doorbell, hoping someone would let us in, but it didn’t work. I called the manager for help, and instead of a solution he asked snarkily whether we had closed the main gate on leaving, since it hadn’t been closed when we went out. I was shocked and angrily asked how I could close it when my key didn’t work, and whether he could send staff to help us get in. He calmed down and sent a staff member who was in the villa to assist. I expected attentive, courteous service. The lack of professionalism overshadowed what could have been an exceptional stay.

We had the pool to ourselves since the other villa wasn’t booked, and they gave us a complimentary cheesecake when we arrived. We had a wonderful stay at Limasan Villa. Look no further, book this place!

We stayed in two different villas and had a great experience in both. The team provided excellent service and really thought of everything to make the stay perfect. We felt very well looked after.

We stayed with a group of friends and it was perfect for us. It’s a gorgeous place in a traditional setting, with lovely staff. Such a wonderful spot in Langkawi, highly recommended.
