Ong Home Stay

The room is cozy and comfortable, and Mr Ong is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

The owner was so kind and even drove us to the airport without asking for any money. He cleaned our room and changed the towels every day, and the whole place was spotless. Our room felt like home, with plenty of space, a big bathroom, and a balcony looking out toward the mountains. The location worked perfectly for us, and we had hot water, good air conditioning, a kettle, and a TV. We’d recommend this homestay!

The mattress was really comfortable, and we liked having a balcony with a view toward the island’s tallest mountain. It’s quiet at night, with good connections to Kuah and the northern beaches. One thing that would make the place even better is scooter rental. The owner kindly took us to a place where we could rent an older scooter, though, so it wasn’t a major issue.

It’s close enough to town to be handy, but far enough away that it doesn’t feel like tourist territory. The hills covered in trees and the sunrise are lovely if you’re up early. The room is simple, and a lot of things are old, but that’s part of the charm of Ong Homestay. It feels more like being in a friend’s special guest room, without having to eat when they eat or keep them company, haha. My bed was really comfortable, everything was super clean, and I had lots of hangers and my own bathroom with a shower. There’s air conditioning and a hairdryer, though I didn’t use either. I’d definitely stay here again. Love it!
