Capital O 90661 Luxor Empire Hotel

The location is great, and the room was decent and spacious. It looks a bit rundown, like an older hotel that's been bought by a new owner, but a good refurbishment could bring out a lot of potential. I was surprised that the budget room didn't come with a towel and that they charge an extra RM10 for one. I've stayed in lots of budget hotels, even dorms and hostels in Langkawi, and they provided towels. I don't mind coming back, and hope the place improves. The Chinese lady at reception was friendly :)

The location is very good, really close to Cenang Beach, but please treat customers with respect even if this is a 2-star hotel. That rating shouldn't excuse poor service, an absent receptionist, or information on Agoda that doesn't match the check-in rules. They accepted bookings even though the hotel was already closed at 7pm, then wouldn't let guests check in after 7pm. Please update the Agoda hotel policies so customers know this rule in advance. I hope management improves this.

Avoid this place. There were cockroaches on the floor, bugs in a smelly fridge, and dirty towels and glasses. The room was a little worn down too. We didn't get our 50 MYR deposit back because they claimed we'd made a small stain on one of the dirty towels they gave us.

Robbery!!!👎👎👎👎👎🤮🤮 Spend 10 rm more and pick another hotel, this place isn't worth the price. It took 1.5 hours to check in. The hotel smelled bad and was super hot. The rooms were shameful, with cockroaches, mosquitoes, and all kinds of bugs in the bed, plus hair and stains. There was no toilet paper, noise from other rooms was too loud, and there were problems with the doors and air conditioner. I told reception about all of it, but they said they couldn't help, and nobody did anything. The next morning no one was there for checkout, and we lost the whole deposit, like other reviews I saw. I had told reception the checkout hours, but the receptionist lied to us. I told the contact number, which belonged to a woman, about it all. She started insulting and yelling at me, saying I had to pay more to get my deposit back, more robbery. I put a review on Booking, and she started calling my phone to threaten me. Incredible, worst hotel I've ever been to, for sure.
