Royale Riviera Resort Private Pool Villa

I had already paid for a stay planned around a special occasion and had booked my flights to Langkawi, so getting a sudden cancellation email from Agoda was incredibly upsetting. I’d booked almost a week earlier for check-in on 17/11, and the resort never called to explain what had happened. When I contacted them, staff apologized casually and said a technical error had created multiple bookings for that date. No compensation was offered, and I had to find another resort at almost double the price because I couldn’t cancel my flights. The response made it worse. A staff member joked that with three days left before I arrived, I’d definitely find another hotel. They also didn’t contact me directly about the cancellation, leaving Agoda to send the email. Mistakes can happen, but this was an irresponsible way to handle a fully paid booking. I’ve never experienced anything like it and wouldn’t recommend the resort.

The staff were especially kind and helpful, particularly Faiz and Shafiq. The resort is peaceful, with lovely surroundings and a good private pool. I’d definitely recommend it.

This was my second stay, and they were amazing again. I asked about checking in early and they agreed right away, with the room already clean and ready. Even though breakfast wasn’t part of my booking, they gave it to me for free during my stay. They really go the extra mile with their hospitality. I’d recommend it for families, couples, or groups of friends, with or without kids. Having your own transport is a good idea.

We stayed at Villa Lekiu, and having breakfast brought right to the villa was a lovely part of the visit. There were local and American choices, freshly made and served with care. The private pool and the quiet greenery around Royal Riviera Villa made it a relaxing escape, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. They also let us check out late because there were no incoming bookings, which made leaving much less stressful. A memorable stay in Langkawi, and I’d recommend it if you want somewhere private and peaceful, surrounded by nature.
