The Lanai Beach Resort

The atmosphere here has that extra something, and the staff were so friendly they made us feel welcome straight away. The food was fantastic, and the meals and drinks weren’t too expensive. There’s great music playing all day at just the right volume, and the pool is lovely. Our room was comfy, with a big comfortable bed, air-conditioning, and a nice bathroom with plenty of hot and cold water. The hotel is right on the beach at one end, so there isn’t much traffic passing by. Everything we wanted was there. I’d come back without shopping around, and I’d give it 100%. Thanks to all the friendly staff. Four stars is the new five!

I went to Dash Hotel Langkawi for iftar. The meal was okay and the dining experience decent, but photography appears to be restricted. If you’re hoping to take OOTD pictures during iftar, security may come over and tell you certain areas are off limits for photos, which can feel uncomfortable. If you want to dine and take pictures freely, you might prefer Parkroyal, Aloft, or St. Regis. In my opinion, their food is better too, and the atmosphere is more welcoming for both eating and taking photos.

The Ramadan buffet had plenty to choose from, from main dishes through to desserts, and it was worth the price. Everything was delicious, especially the tel tel meat, bravo to the chef who made it. The hotel also has a large, beautiful pool and beach area where guests can relax and take photos in the public areas, either after iftar or while waiting for it. Every staff member I met was friendly and helpful. A million thanks to Executive Chef Dzilal for recommending the Dash Ramadan buffet, helping us reserve a table, and making the whole process go smoothly. He also gave us detailed information and suggestions about the different dishes.

The staff made the trip, especially Hafiq, who went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after. Everyone was very friendly. Breakfast had a good range, including Indian options, though you really should try the local cuisine. The private beach access and beach club were the highlights, with a great atmosphere for a getaway. We had a great stay at Dash Resort. Highly recommend.
