The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa

There are four pools and a private beach, so it’s easy to find a quiet spot to relax. Room service had the most comprehensive menu we’ve ever seen, with meals cooked to order and delivered promptly. We also enjoyed The Tide restaurant, with its excellent chef, well-cooked food and lovely staff. We’ve just returned from a wonderful ten-day stay. The service, attention to detail and friendliness of every staff member were unforgettable. Breakfast was a delight, with an incredible selection of local and Western dishes, plus plenty of fresh fruit and juices. Some areas are looking a little tired, especially the carpets and outdoor furniture, but that didn’t take away from the first-rate staff or our overall impression.

After 18 years away from Langkawi, I had a pleasant stay at The Westin Resort Langkawi during my holiday from 21 - 23 Jan 2026. Dinner at Seasonal Tastes was delicious, and Muhaimin and Reen were professional and courteous. At check-in, reception staff Farah was very polite, and Director of Rooms Seri personally welcomed me and gave a lovely introduction to the resort, suggesting facilities to explore. The next day, Front Office Manager Nazar and her team surprised me with birthday wishes at reception. They made my day. My room had lovely birthday decorations on the bed, a cake and a card signed by the Front Office team. I felt very appreciated. Special thanks to Logen and the Housekeeping team for the thoughtful decorations. The resort and staff made my stay delightful. I’ll definitely return with my whole family.

The drinks and food prices were so high that I couldn’t understand why anyone would buy them, when you can eat and drink cheaply outside the resort. More affordable prices might make guests willing to dine and drink there. Aside from that, we had a memorable stay at Westin Langkawi. We were upgraded to a nice suite and got Marriott member perks, including a free cocktail each day at Breeze Lounge and an invitation to a Cocktail Festive with free snacks and drinks. Ruben at the bar was great, offering a personal gin tasting, mixing whatever drinks we wanted and recommending places for drinks and dining in Langkawi and Singapore. Service was good overall, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a cleanliness issue in the bathroom at first, but it was cleaned quickly after we complained. Breakfast was good, though only indoor seating was available. Outdoor seating would be better for anyone wanting a quieter spot.

Although the hotel is a bit older, it’s maintained to a very high standard, and we really enjoyed our stay. All the staff were incredibly helpful, always with a genuine smile. Special thanks to Mrs. Jeni and Mr. Fazli at Breeze, Mr. Tommy at breakfast, and especially Chef Mahesh Rawat for his outstanding cooking and the special lunch he prepared just for us. We had a wonderful experience and would gladly return.
