For a cheap overnight stop or short transit, this hotel is practical. It's in a convenient part of town, with air-conditioning, clean bedding and basic toilet facilities. Some parts of the rooms look refurbished, but the building still feels old in places. There isn't a lift, the rooms are compact, the TV reception had issues during my stay, and I noticed a paint smell from recent refurbishment. It's acceptable for a short stay at this price, though I wouldn't choose it for a long holiday or if I wanted modern hotel comfort and facilities.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and I had a wonderful, comfortable stay. It would be nice if they added a hair dryer to the rooms in the future.

I only paid a hundred for the room, so I suppose there isn't much to complain about. Still, there were very few sockets for charging phones and other things, and none by the bed. I can understand that in an old hotel. The front desk service was welcoming, and the hotel is right in the middle of town. I booked a family room because it was the only one left, but it had a strong cockroach smell. Maybe it was from infrequent guest stays and lack of care. I had to cover it with my own perfume.

The location is strategic, with the waterfront, kfc, watson, seafood restaurants and pasar besar all within walking distance. The room was clean and the toilet looked freshly renovated. Receptionists were friendly, and I was lucky to get a ground-level room since there's no elevator. Parking in front of the hotel is quite limited.
