I’ve never stayed at a hotel like this. There wasn’t any hot water in the shower, or anywhere in the room. What kind of service is that? Adults might manage without hot water, but who’s responsible if my child gets sick? Why wasn’t I told there was no hot water before I came into the hotel?

I booked the wrong hotel because I needed to catch the first ferry to Pangkor. It’s about 4 km from Lumut jetty, and the room needs better housekeeping. There are restaurants, DIY, and a laundry within walking distance. If you need a hotel close to the jetty, there are other options you can walk to.

The reception made a poor first impression, and the washroom wasn’t clean. If you’re paying more than RM80, I’d look at some other options nearby.

The room was decent, but cleanliness was only moderate and the toilet especially needs work. I’d suggest a major clean at least twice a week. The location gets five stars from me: it’s central, with restaurants, Seven11, Family Mart, and a bank nearby, plus it’s close to Teluk Batik. I prefer staying in town so it doesn’t feel too ghostly at night.

The toilet was extremely dirty, with visible mould on the seat cover and tiles. The shower tap dripped all night and kept us awake. Checkout was allowed until 1 pm, but we returned the access card at 1 pm or 1:01 pm and were charged RM15 for that one extra minute. It’s not worth staying here, and there are much better choices. If you have another option, just stay somewhere else.
