Chemara Boutique Hotel

I stayed 5-6 days with my toddlers and sibling. The room had a mini fridge, some coffee and tea, and basics like toothbrushes, shower cap, and shower gel. But there was no table or chairs for us to eat at. The TV kept losing its connection, and the WiFi was very slow and kept dropping too. Once, after asking housekeeping to clean our bed, we found they hadn't done it, and we had to take our own rubbish out. The room still felt very dirty, and the bathroom floor was slippery. The mattress was hard enough to hurt my back, and I couldn't sleep well, waking in the middle of the night. If you want quiet, be aware it's noisy from motorcycles. They have in-house laundry, but the charge depends on how they fold the clothes: one plastic bag is RM10, while sometimes they charge RM20-RM30. I checked the folding randomly and there was still lots of space in the bags. With many kids, charging per medium bag could add up. I spent almost RM100+ on laundry, which felt a bit expensive. Overall, it's okay.

For this kind of hotel or inn, this was the best value I've spent in Miri. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, and I'll definitely come again.

The price is great, and the room has all the basic amenities. It's right in the centre of Lutong, with a mall opposite, a 7-11 nearby, and coffee shops and restaurants around. The staff are friendly. I don't think there's a lift, though, and with only three floors that could be inconvenient if you're staying on the top floor.

We were here for a short stay for our friend's wedding, which was at a nearby church, so the location worked well for us. It's a bit far from the city centre, but there are restaurants and a 7e close by. The staff were very friendly. Our room fit four of us, two adults, a toddler, and a baby. Basic amenities were provided except toothpaste. I asked for an extra mattress, and the staff gave us a bed and mattress at no charge.
