The calm, relaxing atmosphere made for a lovely stay. My room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the facilities were complete and worked well for families. The parking was the exception, as we had to park far away. Mr. Arvind was especially kind and helpful the whole time. He was polite, friendly and ready whenever we needed something. His service really added to the experience. Thanks to Arvind and the whole team for the warm welcome. I’d happily come back and recommend the hotel.

We stayed here for a second time, and the location suited our plans really well. The room rate was very cheap this time, and since we were there for less than 24 hours, it was a win win for us. Check-in went smoothly until the door lock kept us from getting into the room. The staff moved us to another one. Two of the three towels were in really bad condition, and the bathroom was a bit dirty and quite slippery. For parking, you might get a spot right outside if you’re lucky, otherwise you’ll have to park across the road.

I booked one night at the last minute through trip.com. The room had a very local Malay style, but the curtain setup was strange. The air conditioner sat right between the two curtain panels, so they couldn’t close all the way. We tied the sides together to keep the sunlight down, as shown in the photos. The air conditioner’s swing plate had been removed, so the cool air blew straight down and couldn’t be adjusted. That made the other bed uncomfortable. Both beds were also very soft and unsupportive, so we struggled to get a good night’s sleep. Parking is worth considering too. There are few spaces in front, so you may have to park across the road by the shop lot at your own risk. Getting to town, for example red house, is hard without a car. The night was barely okay, and the place needs upkeep to give guests a better experience. I’ll skip it next time I visit Malacca.
