We were trapped in the passenger lift for 40 minutes. Luckily, the bell worked and someone passing by heard it. The guard said he’d call a technician, but the lift still isn’t working.

For the price, it’s fine. The building is a little old, which explains why it costs less than chain hotels. The security guards were friendly enough. I’m not sure what the other reviewers are complaining about.

I booked through Alviv Management and stayed for four nights while visiting Melaka. The place used to be a hotel, but these days it seems to be mostly homestays and Airbnb units. It’s a large complex with a swimming pool and a small gym. Neither is amazing, but both are decent. I was happy with my unit: cozy, fairly clean, and equipped with the essentials. If you get a good unit, I’d say it’s good value for the price.

I booked a homestay under Alviv managent for three nights, but left after just one and moved to another apartment. The room was in very bad condition and didn’t match the listing on Agoda or Airbnb. Management never replied when I sent feedback. On the first day, the security guard was very rude. There was a puddle in the middle of the bathroom that wouldn’t drain, so I had to sweep the water away myself after showering. The sofa leather was torn and in poor condition, and my child got cut by it. The room looked run-down and poorly maintained. The swimming pool looked dirty too, with dry leaves at the bottom. None of the pumps or filters seemed to be working, and I didn’t want to get in. A very bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place; avoid it.
