At Good 2 Stay Hotel in Melaka, the room was clean, comfortable, and felt safe. The air conditioning kept it cool, the hot water worked well, and having an elevator was handy. There’s a 50 ringgit deposit at check-in, which seemed reasonable. A pleasant, simple stay for the price, and I’d recommend it as a budget option in Melaka.

Everything else about the stay was good, which makes this a shame. We spent one night in room 307 on 21/2 and both woke up with bites. I found a bug in the bed, and Google confirmed it was a bed bug. I took it to reception. The staff member seemed shocked, but only told us to put the key back in the box, so I have no idea whether anything was done. We switched to a second-floor room and woke up with bites again, though I can’t prove those were bed bugs too.

We had a nice stay and would consider this hotel again. The building looks small, but our family room was a decent size and comfortably fit five people. The receptionist was professional and let us leave our luggage before check-in. There’s a food court nearby that stays open late, and Jonker area is walkable, though it’s not a short stroll. I’d use an e-hailing service with elderly people, but the distance was fine for me and my friends. The lift may look scary to some 😄, but it’s perfectly safe.

I wasn’t expecting much given the price and the two-star rating, but the place was clean and the room really comfortable. The staff were friendly and quick to respond. It’s also close to the hospital. I’d definitely recommend staying here in Malacca.
